Simon Baron-Cohen's book Zero Degrees of Empathy.

Baron-Cohen's book The Essential Difference is also a "must read" book. It should really be on the national curriculum, we should all be learning this stuff at a young age. The Essential Difference will teach you a great deal about yourself and about those you know. Get someone to buy it for you for xmas.

My book remains a really good read; there is a lot of finely interwoven context enabling the big-picture to the fascinating world of female dominated primatology to be told.

The Third Chimpanzee is fabulous, you must read it! Diamond's book does a great job of contextualising evolution.

Frans de Waal’s The Age of Empathy is also a wonderful read.







Paul Stewart's book Galapagos - Islands the Changed the World, is a spectacular book, full of amazing photographs and a full historical and scientific appraisal of Darwin and the Galapagos Islands, value for money here.
